Why does choosing the right size badges matter?
Choosing the right sized badge can affect the image and text size as well as affecting the overall impact of your badges. We’ve created a free-to-download A4 template that shows our standard badge sizes to true scale. Simply print it at 100% on a standard A4 printer and hold it up to see exactly how each badge size looks in real life. You can even cut the sizes out and have a look at the sizing compared to your clothing, for example.
Some Real World Comparisons
- 25mm badge – About the size of a £1 coin or a standard key head: small, discreet, ideal for subtle branding and perfect for showing off your favourite band.
- 32mm badge – Similar to a matchbox car’s wheel, a bottle top or 2p coin: a nice balance of compact size and visibility.
- 38mm badge – Roughly the width of a tealight candle or lid of a lip balm (e.g. Vaseline): noticeable without being bulky.
- 45mm badge – Similar size to the base of an egg cup, a small biscuit or a compact mirror: great balance of size and visibility.
